Theo plans to become a pattern drafter which plays to his natural creative and analytical abilities. Pattern drafting is the engineering of clothing and though it is not as glorious a pursuit as that of design, he believes it to be of the utmost importance. An architect may design a building but they are nothing without their engineers - the same can be said for a fashion designer. Among the designers that first piqued Theo’s interest in fashion is Rick Owens who began his career as a pattern drafter on the West coast of the United States. Owens has since relocated to Paris, France where he designs and operates his avant-garde luxury brand. Construction and innovative pattern design are cornerstones of his work as a designer; cornerstones  that Theo one day wishes to share in his own designs.
